About The Second Clue
Short mysteries about lost connections, mistaken identities and the patient work of asking a better question.
A notebook for short fiction
Short mysteries about lost connections, mistaken identities and the patient work of asking a better question. An independent written-fiction publication. Not affiliated with Jocko Willink, Jocko Podcast or any podcast network. No audio episodes or real investigations are presented here.
What you will find here
Original short stories and reading notes. We label invented cases as fiction and do not present invented events as reporting.
Our editorial approach
Keep an observation separate from an interpretation. Mark uncertainty instead of hiding it. Respect the choices of living people and avoid publishing private contact information. Sources and fictional scenes serve different purposes and are labelled accordingly.
About directory links
The location widget links to external VeriPages directories and uses the sponsored link relationship. Those services have their own terms, records and privacy practices. We do not operate them or guarantee their results.
